All CTF women and men, as well as interested teens, are invited to explore the Gospel of Mark with us. This week we will read Mark 3:7—6:6. As you read on your own, consider these questions:

• Pay attention to the big picture in this lengthy section. What is happening as the story continues to unfold?

• What does this passage say about discipleship?

• Chapter 4 gives us a sample of Jesus’s parables. How are the parables functioning in the story?

• In Mark 5:21-43 we have a story within a story. Why do you think Mark does this?
