The events of these chapters take place in and around the temple in Jerusalem. What was the significance of the temple in Jewish life? What happened to the temple?
Mark “sandwiches” the cleansing of the temple (11:15-19) between the cursed fig tree (11:12-14, 20-25). What do you think this means?
From 11:27—12:40 Jesus is in dispute with the Jerusalem leaders. What seems to be the problem?
